China Confucius Research Institute Held a Meeting on Strengthening Aademic Construction and Promoting High-quality Development

On November 28, China Confucius Research Institute held a meeting in Qufu to strengthen academic construction and promote high-quality development.
Wang Zhimin, director of the consulting committee of ChinaConfucius Research Institute, former vice chairman of Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and senior professor of Shandong Normal University, attended the meeting.Guo Chengyan, Secretary of the CPCCommittee and Deputy Director of Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation), Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China Confucius Foundation, and Dong Bing, member of CPC Jining-city Standing Committee and minister of PublicityDepartment attended the meeting and delivered speeches. Zhu Ruixian, member of the CPCCommittee and Deputy Directorof Nishan World Center for Confucian Studies (Secretariat of China Confucius Foundation), Secretary of the CPCCommitteeof China Confucius Research Institute presided over the meeting.
Wang Zhimin, Guo Chengyan, Zhu Ruixian and Dong Bing jointly unveiled the plaque for the Research Center (Innovation Team) of China Confucius Research Institute.
In November 2013, Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committeeheld a symposium with experts and scholars at China Confucius Research Institute, calling for vigorous promotion of China's fine traditional culture. Over the years, China Confucius Institute has faithfully upheld its mission, achieving landmark accomplishments in academic research, dissemination and popularization, cultural exchange, and talent development. The provincial party committee and provincial government of Shandong has attached great importance to the development of China Confucius Institute, and have issued a number of measures to support academic construction. The party committees and governments both at Jining and Qufu levels have provided solid guarantee and strongly supported the development of China Confucius Institute. The institute should seize the momentum, live up to expectations and spare no effort to open up a new situation of high-quality development.
The leaders attending the meeting introduced the phased achievements made in the academic construction of China Confucius Research Institute in recent years, announced the list of the consulting committeeand specially appointed researchers, the list of Research Center (Innovation Team) and their leaders of China Confucius Research Institute, as well as the list of major projects of Philosophy and Social Sciences Innovation Project. They also presented appointment letters.
At the meeting, a new book release event for "The Great Series of Chinese Ritual and Music Civilization", a key national publication of the 14th Five-Year Plan and a project funded by the National Publishing Fund in 2025, was held.
